J29-011 | This Javelin was restored in WA by Kevin Malynn who brought the car from in Dandenong in Victoria. The car stripped for a rebuild and the body taken back to bare metal. After spending 3 months on preparation, it was finally sprayed the current candy apple orange colour with black stripes. The factory layout for the stripes was scaled from a 1971 sales brochure. The car also had many AMX parts installed prior to Kevin purchising it including the AMX body kit, mesh grille and 1971 tail lights. The car was re-wired and the orignial 401 engine was given a rebuild with a few enhancements by Ben Ludlow in Perth, it now puts out around 330 HP. It runs a 4 speed manual transmission, which is very rare in this country. Kevin has since sold the car and it was last seen at a car show in Perth sporting a new set of Superlite wheels.

J29-039 | The original owner of Ron's 72 Javelin apparently visited the showroom to test drive an E-type Jaguar but came home with the Javelin instead. When Ron purchased the car from the original owner it was in a pretty sad state with lots of broken and worn out parts, it needed a complete restoration. The restoration took 2 years and Ron with the help of his mechanic brother reconditioned almost everything including the engine, gearbox, suspension, body, interior and mouldings. Ron was lucky enough to be able to visit Galvins AMC Parts in Lodi California and was able to obtain many parts to help omplete the restoration. Modifications to the car include the colour, which is brighter than the original, the wheels, leather trim, custom built extractors and a Holley carburettor.

J29-Wrecked | This sad looking 72 Javelin was wrecked out by Ben Ludlow in Perth back in the 1980's. It had been damaged in an accident and wasn't economically repairable at the time. You can see evidence in the pictures of some modifications to the rear fenders where the car was used to make moulds for bodywork for Ben's Javelin based speedway car he was racing at the time. The wreck sat in the yard out the back of Ben's workshop for many years and was finally crushed a few years ago when Ben moved into a new workshop.
